Saskia Horton

Saskia is a multidisciplinary artist working across the realms of dance, music and spoken word.  Horton is an outstanding storyteller, activist and visionary through her art. 

As a dancer, she has trained and competed internationally in the styles Krump and Waacking, working alongside other multidisciplinary trailblazers such as FKA Twigs and for many brands including Nike, Dr.Martens and the BBC. 

She is a trained violinist in Classical and Jazz, revered on the underground music scene as part of the raucous 5-piece band Nihilism and the avant-garde Levitation Orchestra, performing at venues such as Jazz Cafe, Southbank Centre and the London Jazz Festival .

She is currently creating her own movement methodology combining street styles of Krump and Waacking; fused with Contemporary techniques in her choreographic work. She began her choreographic journey co-creating HOA works- Dedicated to Dizzy performed at Breakin' Convention  and Stardust for V&A and won the Startin’ Point Legacy Commission in 2019, she is now a Commissioned Artist at The Place, London.
