Serena Williams
DJ & YOUTH DANCE SPECIALIST
Serena is a dancer, choreographer and DJ based in Luton and London. She specialises in Hip Hop choreography, having trained and performed with Boy Blue Entertainment and DJ’s for a variety of public, corporate events and is resident DJ for HOA. Her work is inspired by street dance styles and contemporary dance theatre.
As a dance artist she has performed for Sky 1, Rita Ora on The Jonathan Ross Show, X Factor David Guetta and Emeli Sandé. Project Dance in New York, Love Box Festival and Breakin’ Convention.
In the 2012 Opening ceremony for the London Olympics, she was a core member of a team that performed and taught 1,400 volunteers dancing alongside Dizzy Rascal.
A passionate and dedicated educational leader for the next generations, she has created award-winning work in London schools based in deprived areas for the past decade which has seen her win countless dance competitions both regionally and nationally. She was awarded by the Barnet Partnership for her students’ achievements in dance. Serena recently artistically directed a performance project called ’Hear and Now’ for adults with dementia and young people. This was in collaboration with the Philharmonia Orchestra where she worked alongside a musical director to create a multidisciplinary performance piece.
